Please consider joining us at a meeting of the Seattle Practice Group for a WISER Commons, Feb 6, 6-9 p.m.
Calm Rain Designs Studio
1825 S. Jackson, STUDIO 101, Seattle, WA 98144
Ph: 206-860-3974
For detailed directions, see the end of this message.
This meeting will be based on the approach known as “Open Space.” Please join us as we practice sharing resources and collaborating for a more just and sustainable world. We will be learning about and helping to develop the WISER Commons, as well as exploring other tools and approaches. We may be forming
into subgroups based on areas of interest (Business & Economics, Community Development, Technology etc.)
Examples of collaboration include:
1. Having a directory (WISER Earth) that includes tens of thousands of nonprofit organizations, and allows us to share information about our own organizations and projects with others
2. Developing shared calendars and events posting systems to make sure that our events get as much helpful publicity as possible
3. Having ways of reaching more people when advertising volunteer and job openings
4. Understanding more about who knows whom so we can meet new people who can help to further our work
If you can’t attend this gathering, don’t worry. There will be lots of other opportunities to plug in. Our intention is not only to create something new, but to empower all of our existing efforts by weaving them together.
